![]() ![]() Should I enable any other compatability options from that ACT utility? Or will I be forced to maintain a WinXP instance somewhere in order for this game to work correctly? I am running the 1.4 patch, on an HP Laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium, with an Intel HD 3000 GFX chipset with 1Gb of dedicated VRAM. things like chests, furniture, and other room fixtures not even being displayed, stone partitions, adn stone walls partially displaying, sometimes there appears to be a solid surface in the middle of an open hall, adn my characters disappear as they pass under it. I found this thread, and followed the instructions, and unfortunately still see the same issues. So, I was having some fairly significant graphics issues when tying to play this game again. Then, Rightclick on New Database(1) and select Install. Press the Save button on top to save the database (give it whatever name you like). In the next screen, Check the following boxes : Uncheck Read Only at the bottom.Ĭlick next twice, skipping the Compatibility Modes screen. You can do this by going to the map where the game is installed, rightclick on PoR2main and select Properties. NOTE: You might have to uncheck the read only in the file's properties though. Name the program, and browse to the PoR2Main.exe. Run ACT (the 32 bit version), and rightclick on new database(1). Myth Drannor always was like the most tremendous and terrific adventure place in all of the Realms. This worked for me on Windows 7 Ultimate X64 / Radeon 5770, hope it works for you too.ĭownload the MS Application Compatibility Toolkit from here : That game is left too short, in my opinion, for all the possibilities that Myth Drannor gives for a DM (and the player). Yes, my module is a totally independent history from Pool of Radiance. Nonetheless, I may yet try this one, I do love such large projects and yours look really cool at that. Naturally, I thought it's the recreation of it. Ey, and the Ed Greenwood novel, "Spellfire" that places some part in the ruins of MD :) I see, well truth be told, I was looking for a remake of the mentioned and found your mod. Also, of my beloved games of BG, BG2, etc. I based my module (lore, etc) in the old 2ed Forgotten Realms supplements that enriches my own vision of Myth Drannor. However, the game is too "low level" -encounters, etc- compared with mine. Originally posted by Peistor2:Thank you :) By the way, are you talking about "Pool of Radiance, Ruins of Myth Drannor" for PC? I liked it in its day, and take some ideas and contextual things from it. This is for what I love this game so much :) And with the incredible custom content that the great artists of the community had created over the years (and a reworked version, like this EE) you can virtually create any history that you have in your mind. The game, also was birth in an age (20 years ago) in what the tools are enough simple to play with them with no special skills, only intuition. That the developers give you the tools that they used to make, and that the game allows to create your own content for it. And Neverwinter Nights allow me to do so. After all, maybe I wanted only to create the game I alwasy wanted to play. This begin only as a divertiment and a way to disconect years ago, when I was finishing my Ph.D, but over time the module has become very big and ambitious. And I wanted to do a version in english too, so the majority of people can play :) I wanted the module to be perfectly finished before the last month of the year. And overall the module is in spanish and made exclusively for my main character, a neutral evil fighter/rogue 23/17, so I have to rework the dialogs before I publish it. I need to create a few more areas and begin the tests about bugs, things that I have forgot, more dialogs, etc. My idea in the first time, when I begin this, is that the history was placed after the events of Hordes of the Underdark, so this will be a module for epic levels. The companion you will have is Aribeth, her pure evil version ) and all of her dialogues are done, the one liner dialogs and a bit of romance (if you could call romance with a daughter of Hell like her P). The module are playable now, the main quests are finished, all the main NPCs, encounters and areas. Next week I will actualize the screens page. ![]() Anyway, these screenshots was taken a lot of months ago today, with the module nearly finished, the areas you see in the images are a lot more detailed and complex today.
